DeVore Family

This was a VERY cold day, but I got everyone to run outside - one family at a time - to capture some pretty family images from the DeVore/Reigard Christmas gathering. I loved John and Rachelle's stone front porch for the individual family shots.... and we even managed to avoid red noses in the cold wind! Whew!

Aiden: 6 months

Such a sweetie - Aiden has really changed since I saw him 3 months ago. It's amazing what a difference a little more hair on your head can make!

Baby Hadden turns 3 months!

When I went to Hadden's house for his newborn session, it was back in the fall when we had those days and days of rain.... but not this time! It was a sunny, but cold winter's day! I am so glad to be able to spend time with Hadden and his family - we had a fun time, although we were unsuccessful with getting the dogs to participate like we wanted - HA! Those puppies just don't like to pose for pics!

A new friend!

Logan is ONE!

I can't believe this little cutie is already one year old! Wow!

I remember so well getting his newborn images beside some front porch pumpkins last year - he's sure come a long way!!!

Baby Henley

This little one is such a sweetie!!! Wait till you look into these beautiful eyes.....

Baby Henley is 6 months old. We got to spend a sunny afternoon out a Cloverbottom enjoying the perfect weather! I think my favorite is either the close up of her face near the beginning of the slideshow or the one with the little fall hat.

In between the rain storms.....

I enjoyed spending time with this family so much! This was one of those rainy weekends when everything else was cancelled, so I was very excited when Mary Ellen wanted to grab some time literally in between rain showers to capture these images. The butterflies that were special ordered for thise session pushed us to go ahead even though the weather wasn't perfect..... and I'm so glad - they turned out to be some really neat images and moments.

These boys are twins.... but not hard to tell apart! Two definite personalities here!

Davis Anniversary!

This was SUCH a fun evening out at Cloverbottom..... I just love spending time with this family! We worried about the weather for this session, but it turned out great! I love shooting just before sunset.

Jadyn is so pretty and reminds me so much of my own daughter.... and Marcus is just cuddly and sweet.

Baby Hadden has arrived!

I loved spending time with this family - and meeting their brand new handsome boy! I'll be posting images of Hadden throughout the year - I wonder how much he will change? He's as precious as can be right now, but once you throw in a head of hair and a personality, Hadden will surely look different to us a year from now! I'm looking forward to watching him grow.

Katie is one!

It has been really fun to watch this little one "grow up" this year..... those pretty dark curls weren't there when we started this journey one year ago!!!

We did this session out at Cloverbottom.... I just love that spot so much! It was nice to be out there with no distractions and spend this time with Katie. She did a great job..... although, I suspect that part of the time she was laghing AT mommy and me acting like fools to get her attention - we might have even embarrassed her with our antics! But we got some pretty smiles out of it. :)

Sweet Baby Aiden!

It was so nice to meet this sweetie. He put up with all our silly poses, wardrobe changes, and craziness for a LONG time! I think maybe he liked me! HA!

I was very impressed at how long this little one stayed pleasant at just 3 months old. I'm looking forward to spending more time with him soon.

Baby Tyler is 3 months old!

It felt like a fall morning when we captured these images last Friday - even thought it's still August and the heat has now returned!!

Tyler just smiled and enjoyed the morning - he was a lot of fun! We had to swat away a lot of mosquitos and I even had to photoshop some out - HA! But it was worth it for these sweet images. I look forward to seeing Tyler again shortly before Thanksgiving for his 6-month session.

Baby Reese!

I got to meet Baby Reese on Saturday and look forward to watching her grow this year.... I loved getting to explore her grandma's house with a big front porch and could have captured images out there all day - but Reese got tired of me after awhile!

Meeting Erin was fun and she is just gorgeous in these images - such an easy beauty to capture! Baby Rowan!

This session was so much fun..... and Rowan Henry is beautiful!

I didn't intend to stay outside for so much of this session, but since we got locked out of the house (yes, really!), we ended up with more outdoor shots than I thought..... but little Rowan didn't seem to mind the heat at all and I love the outdoor images (don't I always!!)

Linda and Gary!!

What a fun Saturday morning we had with Linda and Gary and LOTS of friends and family! Everyone who attended this wedding was just "busting" with happiness for Linda and Gary - it was really neat to watch! For example.... I don't know how many of you have ever been to Disney World and stood in line to get a character's "autograph".... well, I have and I know that every now and then, you may stand in line for 30 minutes only to finally get to the front of the line and have the character go on "break".... and you kinda start to friek out. Well, at one point during the reception, Linda stepped away from the receiving line to catch someone before they left and I tell you, the looks on the faces were just like the Disney World character breaks scary moments. HA!! They wanted to hug Linda's neck! Thankfully, she quickly returned to her place. :)

What a cutie!

Yes, this was another hot session - whew! But Logan is just such a cutie. This is his 9-month session. He's the size of a little 9-monther, but crawls and stands and tries to get around like a one year old! Adorable!

The photo above is my daughter's absolute favorite from this session and she insisted that I use it on my blog for baby Logan's pictures!

Paige Sr Portraits

Every once in awhile, I have a photo session where the possibilities are just endless - and this was one of them. Paige was just so pretty and so comfortable in front of the camera, I ended up with more great images than I could even fit into this slieshow!

A really bad storm roared through Nashville right before our session. We arrived late and didn't have many minutes of daylight left, but when you have such a perfect subject, anything is possible! I really enjoyed my time with Paige!

Blanton Family

If you've looked at my blog very often, you'll recognize the little guy in these images - Jackson has come a long way since my first photo session with him...... he used to run from me and now he's quite the little poser!!

The rest of his family decided to join him for this one.... we went out to Radnor Lake on Father's Day. We waited until evening to try to escape the heat.... but still had to carry around water bottles and cold paks! HA!

One hot day for Sr Portraits!

I met up with Cody, Alex, and Tyler and their families last Saturday and WOW was it ever a hot day! The sun was out and the trees were green - a beautiful day for capturing images, but really painfully hot. At least we all smelled equally bad! HA!

We started out in Ringgold, then traveled to downtown Chattanooga. We did some Sr Pictures for Cody and Alex and got to do a session with Tyler, too. These guys have been friends for many years and it was fun to get to spend some time with them. But I'll have to say that my favorite part of the day was getting to meet Tyler and now being able to call him my friend. Every session has a highlight and he was definitely it last Saturday!

We ended up with four different slideshows at the close of the day. And I think they all three did a great job of not looking like they were about to melt!

Liz's Bridal Session

I couldn't share this session until now..... we captured these images a few weeks ago, but they were top secret until Liz and Jason tied the not this weekend!

This was another one of those rainy weekends where we all just kept our fingers crossed.... the sun didn't exactly come out.... and it was even raining during some of these images.... but we kept going - gettin' a family all dressed up and together ain't easy! :)

Crumpton Family

This was one of those weekends where we'd had so much rain, I was cancelling sessions left and right - but the sun popped out literally about 5 minutes before this session began. It was great to see the sun and even better to spend some time with old friends - the Crumptons live just across town, but our busy lives mean that we see them about as often as if they lived halfway cross country!

It was really enjoyable to watch them all together and to meet their new dog Buster that I kept calling Baxter.... or is his name Baxter and I kept calling him Buster..... or is it something else all together?!?!

Sweet cousins!

My Three Sons

Havin' some fun in downtown Chattanooga with Darla and her boys! I think you'll find an overflow of michief and energy in these eyes! HA!

I had fun adventuring around with this crew. Our plan was to end up in Coolidge Park for some bridge/river/skyline shots, but the prom go-ers and photographers beat us to the spot! Wow! We finally managed a shot with the skyline.... way off the beaten path!
